Originally from Winnipeg, Michelle spent her whole life involved in sport and physical activity, including dance, soccer, ultimate frisbee, track & field, and speed skating. She was an elite speed skater for 13 years, competed at 2011 and 2015 Canada Winter Games in short track and long track respectively, and trained at the National Training Centre at the Olympic Oval in Calgary for several years. After retiring from skating, she moved to Regina to complete her Bachelor of Kinesiology. She started working at Level 10 Fitness with the Admin team in 2017, and began coaching with the Regina Speed Skating Club. Since graduating with a major in Human Kinetics in 2021, she completed a post-grad internship with the University of Regina Athlete Health & Performance Institute, where she was part of the strength & conditioning staff for the Regina Rams, Cougars Soccer and Volleyball teams. She also trained two classes of police recruits from the Saskatchewan Police College, which expanded her interest into tactical strength training. Michelle was the Team Regina Head Coach for short track speed skating at the 2023 Saskatchewan Winter Games, and has coached alongside the Provincial Coach at national-level meets while developing her coaching portfolio. She loves coaching and skating, dancing, skiing, running, yoga, being outdoors, and is bilingual in English and American Sign Language.

About Christine
Christine was born and raised in Regina. She first stepped on the ice at the age of four and fell in love with figure skating. Throughout her figure skating career Christine obtained her Gold level Freeskate, Skills and Interpretive tests, won provincial medals at the Sectional and StarSkate level, and competed at the Skate Canada National Challenge. To enhance her figure skating, Christine studied Ballet and completed the Royal Academy of Dance Grade 1-8 exams and Intermediate Vocational exam. She also trained at Level 10 and saw the value that the training brought to her competitive sport. This inspired Christine to obtain her Kinesiology degree and complete her fieldwork at Level 10, all while coaching figure skating at Skate Regina. Coaching and working at Level 10 has provided her with the knowledge on how to break down and correct movement patterns and motivate her clients. Christine enjoys working with a wide variety of individuals and is very passionate about helping every person achieve his or her fitness goals in addition to maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
