BOOTCAMP

Mommy Bootcamp is designed for moms of all fitness levels. Pregnant moms, new moms, and moms with one or more children are welcome. This baby friendly class allows moms to get a good workout while still being able to cater to your baby's needs. Classes will incorporate strength, cardio, and flexibility as well as focus on restoring the core, for a total body workout. This program is a great opportunity to get active with your baby and connect with other moms in the community.

 

Moms should be at least 6 weeks postpartum (8 weeks for a c-section) with clearance from their doctor to resume physical exercise. Pregnant moms should also receive clearance from their doctors to start or continue a fitness program.

OBSTACLE RACE TRAINING 

Get ready for your any obstacle race, mud race or adventure event you plan to conquer this summer at Level 10!  Our weekly training sessions will get you stronger and build your stamina and you will gain the new skills necessary to conquer any obstacles. No race plans? Join us anyway! You can expect to be challenged, work hard, sweat and have ton of fun. Training will incorporate various equipment such as: tires, sledge hammers, ropes, monkey bars, climbing walls, sleds, javelins, and much more. 

 

Anyone is welcome. Join us or just give it a try with our drop-in option!

Both of our programs expose children to the basics of training and teach the fun of exercise. Building physical literacy and proper movement patterns is the foundation of an active lifestyle and sport skills. Kids' favourite - rock climbing - won't be missing!

LIGHTNING WINTER

Here are your Lightning Training sessions for 2019 to help you on your journey of self improvement and success. 


Lightning Run 


Tuesday Runs

Jan 8-April 30th 


To race fast you have to train fast and smart. Tuesday sessions will be focused on top end speed development building to race pace specific training to have you smiling on race day. 
Location: 5:45 am at the U of R FLC indoor Track 
You will need an FLC special pass to gain entry to the track. 


Thursday Runs

Jan 3-April 25th 


Run coaches often talk about the secret to racing well over a given distance and they all agree that Tempo runs are critical to having success on race day. These sessions below your threshold help the body to adapt to your race pace and increase running efficiency. It feels so good when these sessions completed. 
Location: 5:45 am at the U of R FLC indoor Track 

 


Saturday Outdoor Runs 
No matter what option you choose Saturday base runs are the foundation for all training gains to be built off of. We embrace the winter and use these days to build our base and our grit. We have also got quite a puppy group out for these social runs. Saturdays are included in any of the run packages. 
Location: 8 am from the U of R Kinesiology east entrance

Lightning Swim


Swimming better can be confusing! Head position hand entry, kick, body roll, breathe etc. With so much to focus on it's hard to get better. In the Lightning swim training we focus on analyzing your key limiters in the water that when corrected will give you the biggest gains. We also practice skills and techniques specific to triathlon swimming that will have you getting out of the water closer to the front then ever before. No matter what session/day you choose, the workouts will maximize your skills so that you will improve.

Smart Start is our complimentary introductory class where you will learn what Level 10 has to offer, how our classes run, and what to expect.
Our trainer will also teach you how to use some of the equipment and some basic resistance training.
This is a great class to start with at Level 10 and it's FREE!
